League of Legends Esports

Esports is a competitve sport just like any other but it is played in a video game!

League of Legends is by far the most popular which is forging a future in Esports creating full organiziations and the like. If you have ever watched one of these games live you will notice they are held in huge stadiums with thousands of people but the biggest audience is watching online via live streaming. This is a great game to get involved with if you are competitve, similar to csgo.

Their are many tournament venues all across the world such as North america, Europe, Korea, china, etc. At the end of each season (Year) there is a world championship where the top team from each region meets up in a final battle. These tournaments have millions upon millions of veiwers as well as prize pools in the millions of dollars. If you want to check them out you can find them on twitch.tv and youtube.

League of Legends is free to play, anyone can go try it out for absolutely zero cost, they make their money from selling riot points which allows you to purchase champions and skins for visual effects within the game which is completely optional and offers no advantage so someone with zero money invested still stands the same chance as someone who is willing to spend a lot of money on the game. It's important things stay fair and balanced, including updates every week changing champions and adding new ones to keep the game fresh and balanced. I'm sure you have friends who are playing as i write this, everyone should give it a chance!

When you first start out don't get discouraged, keep in mind this is one of the most competitve games on earth and it has been around for a good few years so if you get owned a little just stick with it, it's a big learning curve and then you too will be owning some noobs on the fields of justice!

You may want to start off with the starter champion pack and get a feel for which champions you prefer, you have the option to choose between Top lane which is tank / bruiser type lane, Mid lane for Mages, Jungle for everything, Bot lane for support and attack damage carry (Marksmen)
